More than any technology that has been introduced in the last decade, mobile devices have changed the way that consumers access, interpret and disseminate information. This trend is getting stronger every year, and mobile and technology analysts continue to predict that the impacts smartphones, tablets and cloud computing will have on our lives. One Pew Research Center study even forecasted a complete shift to mobile payments by the year 2020, eliminating the need for traditional cash currency, checks and even debit/credit cards. While this and some of the other mobile-only scenarios seem far-fetched, and even a bit scary to some, it is clear that we are fast approaching a mostly-mobile lifestyle.
